For December 2013 Challenge - Scavenger Hunt - "Great Expectations"

We had great expectations about the second part of a trilogy about adventures of Bilbo Baggins, the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves. And it did not disappoint us last night.
The first part was a little too long and too boring 2h 49 m, then in contrast, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" is a brisk 2 h 41 m which goes to show enough action to entertain and enough Tolkien to satisfy.
