There are two pedestrian bridges with Love Locks over the River Seine: Pont des Arts and Pont de l'Archevêché. People from all over the world come to write their name or message on a padlock and then, after attaching it to the bridge, throw the key in the river to signify their eternal love. At certain frequency, the locks are removed to ensure the the footbridge safety.
