A little gross, but hey, Science! The carcass seemed fairly fresh, eyes missing but no foul odor apparent (not that I leaned down that
close to check). Hard to believe that a 4-pound owl could kill a seven-pound gannet, so I'm assuming the gannet died of other causes.
