Don't Take Your Guns To Town

This is the song that my love for Johnny Cash and country music started with. During my first stay in the US, when I was a young student, I was listening to his records, playing them over and over again :)

"Don't Take Your Guns to Town" is a 1958 single by Johnny Cash. It became his fifth release to reach the number one position on the country chart, where it stayed for six weeks.

A young cowboy named Billy Joe grew restless on the farm
A boy filled with wonderlust who really meant no harm
He changed his clothes and shined his boots
And combed his dark hair down
And his mother cried as he walked out

Don't take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don't take your guns to town

Great song and a very interesting piece of jewelry... or is it a belt buckle? Love it either way. V
