Our three-year tour in Budapest has sadly come to an end, and here we are with the people who helped make it most enjoyable for us: Ági our housekeeper; me; my husband, Tim; Endre, our chef; and Imre, our gardener. Photo taken by my husband's driver, László. Our dog, Sahraa, who will be staying with Ági for the next month, refused to come out of the bushes to pose. She has known for the past few weeks that dramatic changes were in store.
We made the 16-hour trip to Washington, D.C., yesterday, where we'll be for most of the next month. Then back to Budapest for a week to retrieve Sahraa and get permission to export her from Hungary and import her into Saudi Arabia, and finally on to Riyadh.
We have lived in and around DC for more than 10 years at various times over the past 25 years, and in fact own a home on Capitol Hill, and I doubt I'll want to photograph it all over again, so I'll probably just continue with my Barcelona galleries while here. One never knows, though, what one will find!
I also have a lot of unprocessed images from Budapest, Bimbó Út (home) and around Hungary, so I reckon I can keep myself busy with pictures until I figure out just what I can safely (or maybe not so safely) photograph in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
