Port Olimpic

It really was sunny this trip, and we actually got to the beach. For the 1992 Olympics, the old industrial waterfront was demolished and 4 kilometers of promenade and pristine beach were laid out. We didn't go swimming, and it was a pretty long trip by metro followed by an even longer walk, but I was determined to see a real beach in Barcelona, so we did!

I had no idea there was such a beach in Barcelona! But as you say, it was created in 1992. A really great shot, showing the beach, the 'bay', that rather remarkable hotel in the distance. V
