July 2013 Challenge: 31 Views of Where I Live

A statue holding a book of the communism classics: Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin, at the Palace of Culture and Science.
There was also the name of Joseph Stalin below, but it was removed in the wake of destalinization in 1956.

Looks a well looked after statue - but I think the book would be too heavy for me to read

We can never erase history but the names often evoke bad memories.
