No doubt that Nelson's Column is a remarkable landmark of Trafalgar Square. This 170 feet height memorial column was erected in November 1843. The top of column is statue of Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson. As same as Nelson Street in Mongkok, Hong Kong, the Nelson Column is memorial to Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson. He is the most famous Flag Officer of British Navy from late of 18th Century to early of 19th Century. As The Viscount Nelson lost his right arm in Battle of Santa Cruz de Tenerifeon on 22nd July, 1797, the right sleeve of statue is clipped on the chest. Of course, he is the hero of United Kingdom.
