"Tai Chi" :-)

What is Zoe doing these days? Perhaps Tai Chi or more likely
just being her silly self :)

This shot was taken with the Nikon D2H, one of my
favorite "classic" digital cameras.

The D2H sported a 4.1mp sensor that Nikon called "JFET-LBCAST"
and it could quite possibly be the only Nikon DSLR with a true
Nikon developed sensor in it.

Almost all other Nikon DSLR's are reported to have Sony sensors.
Of course this is subject to debate depending on who you ask, but it is known
that Nikon outsourced sensors from other manufacturers, and the majority
of those sensors came from Sony.

The D2H in good light and with a good lens produces outstandingly sharp
and surprisingly detailed files with rich tone, punchy colors, and manageable file sizes.
The sensor's downfall was "poor" high iso abilities and a narrow latitude for
exposure errors.

I personally like the "grain" from the D2H and frequently use it at iso 800 and
even 1600. Plus the camera is a speed demon with great AF and tracking abilities.

I've had the D2H, D2Hs, sold both and now am on my third D2H which I got at
a bargain price. Love the camera, it's a blast to shoot!

Great combo with the 105 DC, Sam. Right on the dime colors and bokeh. Zoe is really cute in this lively shot.

Cool girl!
Also find the D2H considerations interesting. I always wonder what everybody does with 24mp or 36mp images....

Yes, more pixels and smaller sensors is like history repeating. I can remember comparing a 35mm Leica neg with a medium format Lubitel and to our dismay the Lubitel won at any enlargement.
