Bananas!

The M/V Dole California and her three sister ships make weekly calls at the 10th Avenue Marine Terminal.
They call every Monday or Tuesday. This ship arrived a few hours before I took the photo.
Each ship carries 491 40foot refrigerated containers. Each container contains 100 boxes of Bananas. Each box has 100 Bananas in it. This makes for about 49 million Bananas per ship load.
Each year over 2 billion Bananas and 16 million Pineapples are discharged at this pier.
