This buidling is the original building of the Mayo Clinic.
It is names for scientist, physician, and engineer, Dr. Henry S. Plummer
Dr. Plummer's tenure spanned Mayo's formative years from 1900 until his death in 1936.
Carvings, hardwood panels, marble, custom carpeting and beautiful moldings are present in the building.
The building contains a tower which houses a carillon which houses 56 bells with a range of 4.5 octaves.
The art of carillon playing originated nearly 500 years ago in Europe.
Carillon concerts are frequently presented by the current carillonneur, Jeffrey Daehn.
