Crane Fly in Magnolia Blossom

I saw this crane fly in the blossom of a tiny magnolia tree, I believe it was. Correct? I thought it made a neat photo.

Numerous common names have been applied to the crane fly, including mosquito eater and daddy longlegs. Evidently, they are called different things in different regions. The real name is 'crane fly'. They don't really eat mosquitos, unfortunately. :)

We had a visitor once from Florida, her first time outside the US - we told her this was a mosquito! She went back to Fl in awe of the UK!

A great catch, it is a crane fly. A daddy longlegs is a spider (I think)

That is either a small Magnolia or a big crane fly.
