Bunker at Mila Street Monument

Warsaw, Poland

Grave/monument of the fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising built from the rubble of Mila street.
About 120 Jewish commanders and fighters who were hiding in a bunker in the house at 18 Mila Street, after 3 weeks of struggle, surrounded by the Nazis, perished or took their own lives.
Among them Mordechaj Anielewicz, the commander in chief.
