The Sweet Face of Our Alarm Clock

Just look at this sweet face. You'd never think it belongs to a cat which denies his owners a weekend lie-in.
Toffee is the default alarm clock in our house.
At the first sign of life -it could be traffic on the road outside or the central heating turning on- he takes up position outside our door and begins his morning routine.
Soft meows, loud meows. desperate meows, persistent meows, 'I haven't been fed in a week' meows, standing up on his hind legs and rattling the door handle, rubbing his paws under the door in the hope of opening it.
He keeps it up until one or other of us can tolerate it no longer, gets up, and feeds him.
While this activity usually coincides with the alarm clock going off during the week, and he has actually woken us on a couple of occasions when the alarm failed to go off, it is not quite so welcome at the weekends.

LOL. I understand that behavior quite well, with my two. This is such a beautiful, sweet portrait of your Toffee.

Oh, what a great capture of Toffee and what a story! We had four of these "clocks" for a while. At the first meow, I got up and fed them and went back to sleep. V!

A wonderful portrait of him. We have a four legged purring alarm clock too. :) "V"

Sweet Toffee :-)

A cute face, though. What happens if you leave the door open all night?

Looks like Toffee found another place to relax in place of the form fitting but far too enticing thing you bought him on sale ;-). Your description sounds just like Sahraa except she doesn't meow, and it's Tim she gets up, never me. Great Toffee portrait as well. V.

But he looks so sweet here. And you'll never be late for work. Super portrait of pretty Toffee.

"Was not meh. I just comes to see what the commotion is. But since you hoominz are up now it would be a shame not to feed meh."
Be grateful, certain other cats have a preferred method of somersaulting their 7.5kg of mass into the door to attract attention.
But nonetheless you've done an excellent capture of an "innocent" expression.

So, Toffee provides a valuable service :-)

Maybe place a larger portion out on Friday and Saturday, that might sustain him a little longer :) Funny story !!
