18 January - Day Dreaming

I have to come clean and say that I didn't take this picture. Somehow it 'just happened' while I was at work :0)

Poor Mr Robbin found shelter from the snow in the bush next to the bird feeder. If he stays put he can eat well.

Nikon D300S ,Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX DG/HSM
1/20s f/8.0 at 500.0mm iso200 full exif

Strange, the same thing happened to me the other day while I was out for a walk! Great reaction and wonderful shot of the Robin by your assistant! V

Classy robin in the snow picture, a stunner !
Nikon do make some fantastic cameras and you have found one of those Nikon computer Easter eggs not many people get to know of.
Well done Brian.

admirable of you to focus on work, and not try to sneak a shot on company time...yon redbreast does not look too happy..

These magic cameras are brilliant, aren't they...? (I wonder if Canons have the same facility...?!)

Excellent! The first thing I thought of was what Mairead said but she beat me to it!

Maybe the Robin is trying to work out how your camera is working when you out at work!

Looks like next year's Christmas card is sorted! Very handy to have a back-up photographer.

However it 'just happened', it's a marvelous shot. Winter perfection.

Your magic camera works very well left to its own devices :)
chris morton18-Jan-2013 18:37
so someone has been watching how you press the shutter & you happened to have left the 500 on the stand?
Colin Storey18-Jan-2013 18:30
He looks very well fed, you should have claimed it as all your own work :-)
