Evengelical church

This Lutheran church was built in 1865, but the congregation ran out of money for the spire, so accepted a donation of 2.5 tons of iron. Segments of the spire were cast and assembled on the spot.

Fascinating backstory on how this spire came to be. Actually, I think it is quite lovely. Very fine, crisp captures. V

As soon as I saw this I was reminded of the synagogue I saw earlier. Both so different to some of the ornate churches you have seen.
The spire on this church is wonderful and unique.
