After Tuesday’s hellishly hot day a cool change came through and moderated the temperatures somewhat. But by Friday the sun and winds were returning us to "like stepping in front of a giant hairdryer" conditions as can be seen by the harsh shadows cast by this hydrant.

Don't read anything into the selective colouring of this shot other than the fact that during my long PAD hiatus last year my Photoshop skills also atrophied and the PAD is the place to practice both production and post production techniques.
