This was taken at an open house at the central bank building, which was said to be magnificent. Unfortunately, photographs were not allowed beyond the lobby. It turned out to be a sales pitch for the bank, and we sat through many a mini-seminar promoting it. We thought we were done when we were near the exit, but when we realized yet another lecture awaited us, we escaped. The Art Nouveau building was in fact stunning, but I can't prove it here!

How funny! When I posted image this I titled it "Turkish Central Bank" out of habit since I see that name all the time at work for my newspaper. Anyway, it's definitely the Hungarian National Bank ;-).
