Vienna Gate (Bécsi Kapu) at the northern end of Castle Hill is the main entrance of the Castle District.
Its name is derived from its earlier function as the historic highway from Buda to Vienna started here.
The current gate was built in 1936 after numerous reconstructions and transformations.
