It had been three months since its birth. This young hawk shows off its growing wingspan high on the corner of a Sagewood apartment building. The spread of its wings rhythmically echoes the dual lunge of the huge building beams that spread below it.
I agree, Marisa. The plumage is striking, made so by the extension of those wings. However, it is the thrust of those massive beams below that draw our eyes to that plumage.
The design on its wings is so extraordinary ! While the similarity between the deployment of the wings and the structure of the building is striking, my eye goes straight to scroll through the details of its plumage !
