Ichneumonid wasps mating (Tribe Gravenhorstiini; Subfamily Anomaloninae)

ottawa West

Walking through the woods one early spring day a few years ago, I was surprised to find a pair of very small mating wasps. They were so intent on their business, they allowed me to take a number of photos.
Thanks to Bug Guide for the ID.

They're very colorful wasps. I mean the hues not the activity. :) Great find and capture. V.
