August 12 - Mysterious Rock

Cleeve Common

On the top of the hill where it is so windswept that trees find it hard to grow, there is one rock.
It’s a strange rock and it is not even the local yellow limestone.
It's a mystery and I’m sure there is a story to be told here.

The giants have been out playing marbles again.... I always believed that the Devil's Chimney at Leckhampton was one of their golf tees, too...! Great sky, again...!

A good theory from Martin - though I didn't see any meteors last night despite staying up late :-(
