This was my favorite Art Nouveau building of all the many in Riga, the Hungarian Embassy. But when I got home and saw the enormous wire running across the entire building and through the decorative work in the windows as well as six wires from the roof going to various places (along with all their shadows), I simply gave up any idea of processing it and just posted bits and pieces.
Many thanks to both Isabel Cutler and William Barletta, who got rid of the wires for me, after I had made an attempt but was not happy with the results. (Isabel said it was like doing a New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle ;-)) I ended up using William's version as it appeared to be a bit easier for me to repair parts that needed it, and set about trying to reconstruct some of the missing parts of windows and artwork since with the wires went a lot of the detail. I did what I could, but surely couldn't have done any of it without their help!
So finally, this ends my gallery on Riga. Thanks so much for the many kind comments and votes, and I recommend you pay this beautiful city a visit yourself!
