Judges Comments

It is interesting to compare this photo with the photo of the heron eating shrimp. In this case the background is a
little darker, so that the beak doesn't stand out as clearly and here we have strong front lighting, which has caused
some feathers in the highlights to be washed out. The back lighting in the heron photo makes the bird stand out more
clearly against the background, but then there is more danger of highlights being washed out, so even more care has to
be taken in estimating the needed exposure.
