Kent Pietsch Crashes

Wetaskiwin Airshow August 5&6 2012

Pilot Kent Pietsch was flying a 1942 Interstate Scout while performing aerobatic manoeuvers. The plane went down just short of the runway at about 5 p.m. The airshow got over around 3pm and I believe that Kent went down doing a little extra practice after the show. """“He came into land and his motor konked out early. The wing hit the wheat field, ripped the wing off, spun around,” he said. “He hit the dash. He got hurt bad. He got out of the plane. Wandered around it and laid down in the field.”"" He is ok.. Knocked teeth out broken bones in his face, lots of cuts and luck to alive.... got out of hospital late that night... This shot is one of his cutting a roll of paper towel in flight... His plane parts dropping off were part of the act....

Sweet plane! Yeah, one of the ailerons is missing. That seems like a problem, even if it part of the act! I am glad he is mostly alright. I knocked out a few of my teeth one time in a long boarding accident and had to get emergency dental surgery. Anyone know how he is doing now?http://www.sherwoodparkdentalcarecentre.ca/en/emergency_dentistry.html
