A horrible evening of drizzle.
Not fancying a second day’s soaking I opted for the easy option and spotted the poor cowslips in the grass looking a little damp and sorry for themselves.
I decided to spend some time with them to cheer them-up.
They didn’t seem too impressed with this act of compassion so I only stayed for a couple of minutes.
