Firefly (Photuris)

I often find fireflies on milkweeds, often just resting on the leaves, or amongst the flowers. Many fireflies do not feed as adults, but according to Bug Guide, the females in this genus "are known to lure Photinus males using the flash pattern of female Photinus, and eat them to obtain defensive chemicals."
