This Bald Eagle, now a ward of the SOAR group, is missing a wing and now solely dependent on others providing food, security, and life for him. Why, because some uneducated non-caring person (downhere we simple call that person "fool") shot the eagle and his wing had to be removed. For the audience today, this magnificent symbol of our Nation struck a nerve since recently a Bald Eagle near Tuscaloosa, Alabama was shot in the wing and head by another fool. This area's eagle is recovering at one of the State's wildlife recovery locations and it is unsure if it will become another ward for life time care. Incidently, there is a reward of several thousand dollars for information on what fool shot the bird so you and I and the eagle can have justice applied to the shooter.

As I said the Bald Eagle here today even though now a handicapped eagle displayed grace and pride just as many of our wounded soldiers are having to do when they are mustered out of the military service.
