This is a special light blue colour 6 inch prototype one of a kind sample

In 1999 there was a Limited Edition run of 250 called King Tak Cheun Cheeky Punkie or Punkinhead
that was an exclusive for Animal Kingdom in Canada. Believed to be released in a darker blue.

A special project commemorating the city of Jingdezhen in China,
known for its bone china and blue porcelain.

Thankyou to Calvin Li of Cawah Arts Gallery in Hong Kong for the background
information on this special Cheeky bear! Calvin tells me he used to have
a shop in Hong Kong and was also an exclusive agent for Merrythought.

Interestingly Jingdezhen is a sister city to Delft in the Netherlands which is
famous for its Delft Blue Pottery products which were styled on the imported
Chinese porcelain of the 17th century.
