Merrythought Punkie and Punkinhead bears

Merrythought Punkie and Punkinhead, considered the ancestor or cousin of Cheeky bears.
They can be recognised by a tuft of hair on their heads and can be wearing pants. These
teddy bears also lack the bells in ears that Cheeky bears normally have. Ref: JP series.

The Ancestor of Cheeky was based on the Punkinhead Merrythought made for Canadian
department store Eaton's from the late 1940s. Note I have also included some samples
of vintage Punkinhead merchandise from my collection.
