We kept seeing these enormous towers every time we were heading for the far south of Hungary and crossing the bridge in Szeged. This time on our way home from Makó we decided to go in search of them. Turns out we had been to this church before but didn't recognize it from a distance, the towers were just that enormous. Since we had made the effort to find it, I decided to try to get some different shots from various angles I hadn't seen before, but it was pretty cloudy and dark, and beyond freezing. We were getting ready to leave when suddenly the sun burst through the clouds, and wow, I just had to run back to the far end of the square to photograph it. I've left it pretty distorted since straightening it really ruins the magnificence of the towers and squashes the entry. On the way home I was so utterly chilled to the bone that I had to keep my long-sleeved T-shirt, sweatshirt and heavy jacket on, plus my heated seat and heating in the car.
