The synagogue fell into disrepair after World War II, and with no Jewish population left to use it, was bought by the city. It's is now a concert and exhibition center following its restoration in the 1970s and '80s. We were on our way to a small village in the area, and I had read about this synagogue, so this was all we stopped to look at in the town as it was getting late and the light low.
