This is the Copa Cobana Club in Mainz. It is just across the street from the Bahnhoff(train station). I didn't go into the Copa very often as it was a little out of my price range. OK, I'm cheap. One Sunday my friend Mike Beason and I went to Mainz, were were dressed pretty nice in suits, ties and I had on an overcoat. Mike had scored an Imperial (size) bottle of Crown Royal that we took with us. I was able to carry the bottle in my coat pocket as long as I hid the neck up my coat sleave. After having dinner somewhere we ended up in the Copa Cobana. We found a booth in thge back and ordered a couple of Coke's, where upon we on the sly mixed our own Coke High's. We had ordered several Cokes abd were really begginning to feel good when the waitress caught us mixing our own drinks and made us buy her expensive drinks or she would tell the owner. She was sort of cute so we didn't mind.

I do remember that I was pouring the whiskey and I may have been a little bit more generous with the booze to Mike. I mean after all he did buy the bottle. By the time we left the Copa Cobana we were plastered to say the least and Mike was more so. It was late Sunday night when we got onto the Army bus back to the post. Mike sat in the seat ahead of me, on the way back to the post Mike got sick, OK he pukked his guts out. It was a really imprfessive amount of puke, it even flowed back to my seat but I was able to avoid getting any puke on my shoes. I thought it was funny as heck, for some reason he didn't think it was very funny, expecially when I told him the next day how come he was drunker than I was.:)
