This is the largest Baroque church in Hungary. Unfortunately, much of the artwork was destroyed in US bombing at the end of World War II but is undergoing restoration. (The church was closed when we were there, very late in the day.) I had tried to photograph it a half hour earlier, without lights and against the setting sun, but when we returned to our car, they had turned the lights on the church and it looked beautifully golden.
