Eurasian Pygmy Owl

All bird watchers and photographers in Denmark are in exstacy right now. Several of the very rare Pygmy Owls have been spotted. They come from North of Scandinavia for the winter. It's been many years since we last had a visit of this magnificent small Owl so it is very exciting. I managed to find one to day and hope to get better shots in the future if I can find it. It is only about 16 cm long and weighs about 60 grams. Despite its small size it's a skilled hunter for smaller birds and mice.
