Spurveugle - Eurasian Pygmy Owl

Eurasian Pygmy Owl

The smallest owl in Europe and Asia. It is only about 16 cm long and weighs about 60 grams. It's extremely rare here. It's been the first visit of this species in this country since 2006 and 1999. Two have been spotted only half an hour from my home. I will try and find them regurlarly this winter to get some shots.
