The Road Home

Ok, it takes several miles and many twists and turns, but I live at the end of that road, right at the bottom of the humpy hill on the horizon. I can see Slieve Gullion when I take Fudge for a walk so I guess our house is a pixel on the horizon.
This was taken through the windscreen as my husband was driving as I felt there had been enough photo stops on that particular trip.

Your road goes through some very pretty country.

I love that you can see home so far off in the distance...I am so encased in tall timber that I never see the sun on the rise or moon either...

Very cool image and wonderful view towards your corner of the landscape.

:) I understand about asking the husband to stop for photos. I'm blessed that mine is fairly patient about my obsession with taking pictures of every scene along the way. But, there comes a time when it is better to take the photo from the car rather than stop the progress again. I love the rolling hills and autumn colors here. Great perspective.

lovely shot on the fly...the burnished hills above the green meadows are fabulous...whatever the vagaries of weather or economy, where you live is a land to be treasured...V

Ulla Inkeri Huhta08-Nov-2011 22:36
Beautiful road home. But I wouldn´t like it with ice and snow... And I guess snowploughs are few and far between over there.
Guest 08-Nov-2011 22:18

Brian Samuel08-Nov-2011 20:34
The road looks very narrow and I don't see any passing places in that stretch. Must be a good reason to put his foot down :0)
Guest 08-Nov-2011 20:23
must be fun to drive on this road at night
Máire Uí Mhaicín08-Nov-2011 20:10
A lovely perspective and breadth of view here.
Alan K08-Nov-2011 20:03
Ah, DRIVING. That explains it. I was thinking "I know Fudge likes walks, but that might be taking it too far!" Autumn seems to be progressing rapidly over there, with the trees which have already dumped their bundles on the left and the greens starting to turn to browns.
