Dundee Mill

Dundee, Wisconsin

I stopped by the Dundee Mill yesterday. The mill ponds are high and the old wheel was whirling around.
(This is not the same mill as the one pictured two days ago in Mill Door). This mill has been restored by local citizens and is really lovely.

The IR treatment is like snow on the ground and trees, nice work.

This is lovely Cindy. You do so well with the IR (and everything you do).
The story of the firm doing some work here is lovely.
lt could only happen in a small town where everyone knows everyone else.
Thanks for the story.

An interesting aside is that one of the people instrumental in the restoration happened to live right to the left rear of the mill. He passed away from cancer and left a wife and 3 teenagers. Extreme Makeover Home version came in and did a makeover to their home. While they were there they did some renovating to the mill in honor of the deceased. That was in 2006. It was a huge event in this tiny town.

You have some wonderfully picturesque historical buildings in your area. I love the stone foundation and water wheel here. The restoration team did a fine job.

Beautifully IR'ed...
I think this building must truly be something to see, and the inside is probably even better..
