Benefit of the doubt.
Maybe these two Verizon supervisors just forgot to put cones out this one time? Could be that they put cones out at every other stop today. Maybe they were just tired after days of 12 hour shifts and forced overtime?
Maybe they just stopped at this 7-11 in Catonsville at 6:33 PM to get a quick drink? I doubt that they were riding out their last job before heading back to the garage.
Maybe these two were just at the 7-11 at the same time by coincidence, or maybe the one guy only stopped to help the other guy pull a very long drop through several sections of trees on the last job? That could be. I doubt that they were doubled up and helping each other all day long.
So they get the benefit of the doubt. But the real question is… do the regular CWA represented employees get the benefit of the doubt in situations like these every day? Or do these very same Verizon supervisors choose to think small and infer employee wrong doing at every turn, with an eye toward chicanery & deceit. Did you get the benefit of doubt, or did you get an ECM in your file from these guys?
