Yesterday I posted a series of global images of the large colonies of Common Murres at Cape St Mary's. The following four images are of small groups and of individual Murres.

Top image: Four Common Murres on a rock ledge. Three have their back to the ocean and one is peaking over the edge as if it is afraid of heights.


Two Common Murres and one (upper right) is, in my opinion, a Razorbill of which there are some 150 nesting pairs at Cape St Mary's. I might also be a Thick-billed Murre of which there are about 1000 nesting pairs at the colony.
