As you get closer to Humboldt there is a stretch of highway with a warning sign to slow down to 40km/h. From a distance it doesn't look to be a bad stretch, but once you get on it it's rough rough rough!
I spotted this stop sign in the middle of the water during one drive across, and couldn't figure out why there was a stop sign in the ditch. Then I realized that this was the stretch of highway that was washed out last year during our spring melt and subsequent floods.
If you look at the middle of the photo, there is a black arrow showing where the other road ends - it used to be an access road to the highway and the stop sign was for traffic on that road. Not sure who's going to make use of the stop sign now!
