Hurrah! Rain has come!

Nyon - Vaud (Switzerland)

Well, it was not totally unexpected the sultry and extremely motionless atmosphere, which tormented me yesterday evening, was a premonitory sign.
Then weather forecasts have reached high levels of reliability, so whimsical changes of weather don’t take us by surprise anymore.
It seems to be in autumn now, I adore that; I know it’s only temporary, but a day of autumn in July is a precious present.
When we went out for our coffee, always relatively early in the morning (natural habits don’t change because of weather) it was raining.
It was quite cool, autumn, I have told you.

I hope that the silent wise one, who bravely and patiently shares his life with me, won’t be too angry if I decided to use his image as iconic expression of my good mood for today.

All the photos of this series, which should be considered a homogenous work, compose a visual description of my very personal idea of summer. Each photo is posted on the same day it’s taken, they have all square format.
You might see also the others, if you have time.

I too cherish those rare rainy days in summer. Here in California it rarely rains from about May until late October leaving us with hot, dry climate. We too are having a very cool few days here which is merciful, especially as compared to much of the rest of the US where the temperatures are horrendously and dangerously hot. Thank God for small favors when it comes to a rainy day every now and then! I too love the rain and hate the still, motionless hot air which happens frequently. Your galant man here also appears to really be enjoying the cool, damp respite in the middle of July! Enjoy it while it lasts!! Very nice image by the way.
