Fast, sharp and as wide as it gets for a zoom on a full frame camera. Solidly built and balanced nicely.
The only drawbacks I can think of are the inability to mount filters and the giant saucer like lens cap which is shown here and that only awkwardly fits into my pocket and is potentially easy to lose.
