#16 - Bill Wylde Jr.

WILLIAM WYLDE JR.

Bill Wylde Jr., 78, of Centralia IL died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at
the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion from complications due to liver failure.

He was born on April 23, 1933. Bill retired as a salesman and was employed with various
auto parts distributors throughout the years. He previously owned a used bookstore in Carbondale. Although inactive
in recent years due to his health some will remember Bill as "Mr. ICG" while living in Carbondale, IL. with connections
up and down the railroad from Memphis to Paducah to St.Louis and the guy who "dug out" all the critters working the
coal mines in southern Illinois and Indiana in the seventies. Bill was also a past president of the GM&O Historical Society,
a prolific modeler and donated his time and talents to the Centralia Historical Society. He had a quick wit and was
always ready with a story and a few jokes

An US Air Force and Korean War veteran, he will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
