To say that Gubbio is an Italian "hill town" is an understatement to say the least!
There are several levels of the town, all uphill, and mostly accessed by climbing.
Gubbio has installed an elevator system that takes visitors from the lowest level where
cars and busses stop, to the main piazza shown in the first Gubbio image.
This downhill arcade leads back down, if one wants to proceed on foot.
I found the light and shadows interesting, and the girl seated on the ledge at the bottom added interest
and a focal point. Note the level of the street below, and the hillside beyond.
