Cortona has an exquisite small museum housed in a 16th c. church, now restored
to display works by Fra Angelico, Signorelli, Lorenzetti, and other Renaissance artists,
Also in the museum are some fine works from the Sienese school of the 14th and 15th centuries.
All of the paintings were beautifully restored and displayed. No photographs were allowed in the galleries.
Beneath the main gallery, in the oratory of the old church, are frescoes done by artists of the school of Vasari.
