Fisrt prototype of the An-12 flew on December 16th, 1957. 1242 Antonovs eventually were built in three factories in Irkutsk, Voronezh and Tashkent. An-12BP 4341708/96 (r) was built in 1964 (first '4') in Tashkent ('34' after the '4'). It served with 226 OSAP at Sperenberg, returned to Kubinka, Russia in September 1994 and was broken up a few years later
