The column remains curious Would it have served as the support of an altar stone?
A picture of a Byzantine church. It has three naves, spolia from temples were used as usual. The church dates from the 6th century AD, there are mosaics that when I visited were covered. In "On the Lycian Way" it is suggested that the nearby temple was not destroyed but used as an annex to the church.
