Yale's Motto - LUX ET VERITAS

April Challenge: Scavenger - Inscription

Lux Et Veritas in Latin, Urim V'Tumim in Hebrew, Light and Truth in English.
Hebrew was the language of the Universities in the 1700s.
Ben Franklin wanted Hebrew to be the language of the United States.
Harvard's commencement ceremony was in Hebrew until the 1850s.
