This image came about as a result of my participation in an on-line group experiment in “overlaying” one image with a “pattern” extracted from another image using digital techniques. In this instance I overlayed a straight photo of an about-to-open tulip blossom with another simple photo of the leaves of some tulip plants. The challenge here was to maintain the lines showing the edges in the overlayed image (the leaves) over the main subject (the tulip) without obscuring the tulip.
